Oxbridge Academy offers a great variety of courses in a number of fields, ranging from short courses to nationally accredited certificates leading to diplomas. These courses are all complete via distance learning, also known as home study. Their offering includes the following:

National Qualifications (N4 – N6) Leading To Diplomas

The N4-N6 courses are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). These courses lead to formal qualifications, and prepare you for a career in Advertising and Marketing Management. If you have completed your N6 level and can provide evidence of 18 months of relevant practical experience, you may be eligible to apply for – and receive – a National Diploma.

Assessor and Moderator

These course are credit-bearing and are registered on the NQF. They can articulate to full national qualifications and are verified and certified by the ETDP SETA:

Beauty Therapy

These courses will give you a good introduction to your chosen field, and will equip you with the skills you need to conduct yourself professionally when working with clients. Please note that these courses are theory-based, and will not result in a formal qualification. If you want to become a qualified beautician, you will need to attend a beauty school.

Short Learning Programmes

This non-accredited skills course is a good choice if you want to learn more about childcare, and if you want to acquire the basic skills you need to work as a nanny, childminder, or babysitter.

National Qualifications (ECD Courses) Leading To Diplomas:

These formal qualifications are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), and are designed to prepare you for a career in the ECD environment. These courses are a good choice if you want to work in a child day care centre or ECD centre, work as an au pair, or start up your own child day care centre. If you have completed your N6 level and can provide evidence of 18 months of relevant practical experience, you may be eligible to apply for – and receive – a National Diploma.

Computer Studies

Short Learning Programmes

These are non-accredited skills development courses that will equip you with the basic knowledge and skills you need to operate a computer in an office environment. Depending on which course you study, you may also gain the theoretical foundation that you need to start working towards a career in IT.

Engineering Studies

How does studying N1-N3 Engineering at Oxbridge Academy work?

If you have Grade 10 with Maths and Physical Science, you can start at the N1 level in your chosen field of Engineering Studies, and progress to N3 with Oxbridge Academy. From there, you can decide to pursue further studies in your field at N4 level, all the way up to N6 diploma level.

 

Since the courses at Oxbridge Academy are offered via distance learning, you can also choose to enter the workplace while you are busy studying, so that you can gain some relevant practical experience in your field. If you don’t have Grade 10 with Maths and Physical Science, you will first need to complete the Bridging Certificate to N1 Engineering Studies before you can proceed with the N1 course of your choice.
